Artist Statement
My work is a reflection of my personal and spiritual journey. Deeply inspired by my ancestral religion of Taoism, I work with contrasting dualities to create feelings of harmony. Following the Way, I take inspiration from nature and aesthetically maintain a sense of simplicity. My process honors the fluidity of clay; ceramic forms have been entirely hand-built into organic shapes. All decoration is done loosely and expressively, reflecting both freedom and restraint.
